Stephen has been working closely with and supporting local councils across Australia since 2007. He has prior CEO experience in three (3) NSW local governments over a twenty-year period and, since 2007, has developed expertise as a leadership consultant working with diverse city, metropolitan, regional, and rural councils.

In his new company, SBC, established in 2024, Stephen now works with both elected members and executive staff to provide local government service excellence.

SBC’s service offerings include:

  • Coaching and mentoring of Mayors and Councillors
  • Recruitment of CEOs and General Managers
  • Leadership training and development for executive staff
