CEO and Executive Performance Reviews

Our structured, impartial performance reviews for CEOs, General Managers, and Directors include standard metrics but go beyond to highlight areas of success, including culture, ethical conduct, and accountability. SBC ensures the meaningful, goal-oriented reviews support alignment with council objectives, using proven frameworks, performance agreements, and value-added tools such as the Hogan Leadership Assessment and 360-degree assessment. Stephen proudly works with some outstanding leaders in local government and is excited to see the success they enjoy through his guidance and support.

Stephen also has the ability to guide and support Mayors and CEO/GM Performance Review Panels in undertaking what can be a very sensitive task and to provide confidential and fearless advice to CEOs/GMs who may not be performing at the level desired by the Council.

Councillor and Governance Training and Development

In today’s dynamic local government landscape, Councillors need the tools to meet governance requirements effectively. SBC offers customised training, development and induction programs for newly elected Councillors, for existing Mayors wanting to grow their leadership, and strategic planning workshops to set organisation priorities for the term to optimise opportunities to engage with community members. We support mid-term reviews to enable a temperature test as to how well the Council is performing, and to make any correction in focus or performance before the end of the term. We enjoy providing specialised workshops to address any performance areas the Council wants to further develop.
